Team Switzerland Day — A Parent’s Perspective

Kimberly Sherman, the Twilight Parents Examiner, has recently joined the Team Switzerland Project — and today she hosts Team Switzerland Day with a critical look at the two characters vying for Bella’s (and our) hearts:

Edward: Dangerous, brooding, meticulous, doting, forbidden

Best friend, strong, idealistic, persistent, comfortable

As parents considering a potential mate for our daughters, the safety Jacob offers may be an obvious choice, yet as women, the forbidden love that emulates from Edward is an instant attraction. Both of Stephenie Meyer’s main male characters carry unique positive and negative traits, and, though most females tend to lean towards the sensuous nature of Edward, Jacob is a definite contender among those both in their teens and in their prime.

Four winners will be chosen. Each will receive a The Mortal Instruments poster signed by author Cassandra Clare. (Did you know that The Mortal Instruments is one of Stephenie Meyer’s favorite series? It’s true!)

The Rules:

  • Entries must be between 500-1,000 words
  • Please use proper grammar & good spelling
  • Include your name, e-mail and mailing address with each entry
  • Be sure to mention whether you’re writing for Team Switzerland, Team Edward or Team Jacob
