Portland fans can celebrate “New Moon” in big ways

There are special events happening all across the country for the release of The Twilight Saga: New Moon — and in Portland, Oregon, fans can soak up the locations featured in the first Twilight movie at a variety of events. Here are the details:

“New Moon” Release Party at the View Point Inn

Corbett’s View Point Inn was the setting for the prom scene at the end of “Twilight,” and the owners have quickly embraced the Twilight fandom. For the “New Moon” release event, the Inn invites fans to come walk where Bella and Edward walked, snap your photo under the “Monte Carlo” sign featured in the first movie, watch a screening of the first “Twilight” movie and enjoy a four-course meal. All of this — plus a ticket for a reserved showing of “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” at midnight.

Thursday, Nov. 19th
Cost: $58 per person

Experience “New Moon” in St. Helens

The Experience New Moon event is for the ultimate fan — a four-day event in the town of St. Helens, which was the filming location for the Swan house and Bella and Edward’s first date in “Twilight.” Local casting director for “Twilight,” Lana Veenker is also hosting a special panel discussion at the VIP party (more info below). The weekend events are plentiful, and include multiple screenings of both “Twilight” and “The Twilight Saga: New Moon,” trivia, prizes, a discussion panel with Lana Veenker and local “Twilight” actors, Quileute Legends, a Volturi Costume Ball and a live concert from the Twilight Music Girls. See the full schedule of events available online.

You must be attending the Experience New Moon VIP Party to be eligible. You can register for the contest online.
