What Would You Ask?

Rob, Kristen, and Taylor have done so many interviews over the past few weeks while promoting New Moon, but I gotta say… I haven’t been that impressed with the majority of the questions they’re being asked. It’s the same things over and over again (or else completely silly like, What kind of cookie do you like?) and these young thespians have to be feeling like broken records.

I’m very hopeful every time I see a new clip that someone, somewhere will have thought outside of the box. The online Vanity Fair interviews with the Wolf Pack and the Cullens have been a little more interesting, particularly the “describe your co-stars in one word” section. But, alas, creativity in journalism entertainment news is a very rare occurrence where this trio is concerned.

Think about it, you’re a reporter, you have about 3.5 minutes with this star, and the question you choose to ask is, “How much are you like the character you play?” Bo-ring.

So I wanna know – what would you ask the New Moon stars if you had a few precious minutes to pick their brain? I might say, “Hey, Rob, how does being a musician influence the way you play Edward?”

What would you ask?

  1. That’s a really great topic!
How about, “What are you reading right now?” (because they have so much free time! Pfft!) or “Who would you have liked to see on the soundtrack?”
I read an interview where they asked Michael Sheen what Aro’s personal theme song would be and he said “Seasons in the Sun.” Thought that was pretty clever when you think about it …

  2. I’ve been so disappointed with all the Robsten questions. Honestly, enough is enough!

I would ask something along these lines – “Fans were concerned with the first Twilight film properly setting up the back story for New Moon. Many felt that the beach scene was insufficient for Bella ‘remembering’ the right story in order to figure out Jake is a werewolf. Now that the Twilight Saga is popular enough to warrant filming all of the installments, how conscious was the New Moon screen play of setting up for Eclipse/Breaking Dawn? Specifically, was there any attempt to foreshadow Jacob imprinting on Renesmee (quote: So much for my chance to put some distance between us. I couldn’t stand hurting Jacob; we seemed to be connected in an odd way, and his pain set off little stabs of my own.)
