Crossover Fan Fiction Winners!

Firstly, I want to apologize for the long delay … but finally, here are the winners of our Sept-Oct ’09 Fan Fiction Challenge.

For this challenge, we asked you to write a story that was a crossover between The Twilight Saga and another book or book series. The winners each get to post this banner with their stories, and will also receive some prices from Cassandra Clare’s The Mortal Instruments series. (Winners, look for an e-mail soon!)

First Place: Just One Request by best with breadsticks

Have you ever wondered what would happen if you were reading Twilight, when suddenly Edward Cullen appeared in your room? That’s exactly what happens in this charming crossover with Cornelia Funke’s Inkheart.

Second Place: A Brief Respite by Kristine Peay

Quite possibly one of the most realistic Twilight-Harry Potter crossovers I’ve ever encountered, this story gives a brief twist on Bella’s pregancy during Breaking Dawn when an unexpected visitor uses some magic to provide her some pain relief.

Third Place: Meeting in the Meadow by Taylor

A lovely glimpse into a chance meeting between Bella and Edward and Clary and Jace from The Mortal Instruments. The characters don’t spend much time together, but their short exchange shows an interesting contrast between the dynamic of both couples’ relationships.

Congrats to the winners! See past challenge winners here, and be sure to check out our November-December 2009 Challenge … the deadline is December 31st!
