The latest on Breaking Dawn (movie) …

There are a lot of rumors going around these days about Breaking Dawn … and we do mean a LOT (especially today, for some reason). Here’s the deal:

There is still NO WORD on if or when a Breaking Dawn movie will be made.

BUT, Larry Richman (@Larry411) from PROnetworks has sorted out some of the latest facts. According to his article, those facts include the following:

  • Breaking Dawn could begin filming this Fall in Vancouver
  • Kristen Stewart, Rob Pattinson & Taylor Lautner have completed negotiations & have signed contracts
  • Chris Weitz will probably NOT direct Breaking Dawn

That’s not really news. What is news, though, is that he is all but confirming that New Moon director Chris Weitz will NOT be back to helm Breaking Dawn, one film or two. “I think everyone would be happy and excited if he came back, but I don’t think it’s going to happen,” Godfrey told The Times.

The three principal actors, Kristen Stewart, Rob Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner have apparently completed their negotiations and have “signed contracts.” In addition, shooting is expected to begin “this fall” in Vancouver.

Also floating around the blog-o-sphere today, is news that Stephenie Meyer and Summit are at odds over whether or not Breaking Dawn should be one or two movies. This comes via E! Online, though that’s not always a reliable source (read: they gossip. A LOT.) If you’re interested, check out what they have to say for yourself here.

No matter what you read, here’s my advice regarding ANY NEWS about Breaking Dawn: doubt everything until there is official word from Summit!
